Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds stew beef, cubed
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 15 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant beef bullion granules
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 3 medium potatoes cut into 1” cubes
- 1 small bag baby carrots
- 1 medium onion cut into wedges
- 8 oz can of green beans
Directions
- In a large skillet, brown meat, reserving the drippings. Transfer meat to a large casserole.
- In the skillet, combine tomatoes, garlic, bay leaf, sugar, bullion, thyme, oregano, Tabasco sauce, and salt. Add flour, and cook until thickened.
- Add potatoes, carrots, onions, and green beans with liquid to the casserole. Mix in tomato mixture.
- Bake covered at 350° for about 1 1/2 hours or until all ingredients are tender.
